Use of external current magnetic field sources during slide motion analysis

Summary

The external current field source (COIL) can be placed independently of the mesh, which is convenient, but previously could not be used in sliding motion analysis. Starting with r9.1 allows the COIL to be placed in the stator.

Explanation

An example is shown in Fig. 1. This analysis uses DC eddy current analysis to obtain a steady state. The mesh is the same as that used in "Analysis when the Sliding Surface Contains the Central Axis". An example is shown in Fig. 1. As before, the COIL must be in the reduced potential region and must be on the stator side. The sliding surface must also be in the total potential region. In this example, the rotor region, the magnet region, and the outer layer of the sliding surface are in the total potential region.
